David Cardenas

David Cardenas, age 54, was born on April 20,1971 in Del Rio, Texas. He entered into rest Monday, October 13, 2025. Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and later received a Master’s degree in Mind, Brain, and Education from Harvard University. David shared his academic knowledge in helping others. His love for his creator Jehovah and Jesus Christ moved him to study the Bible and defend Bible truth mostly in Hospitals where he spent his last 4yrs, treating his cancer. He was motivated to endure by one of many scriptures he loved 2 Timothy 4:7 “ I have fought the good fight……and Phil.4:13 “ I can do all things through the one who gives me power”. He was a loving father to his daughter Brandi Cardenas, which he called “Mi Chiquita” and encouraged her to always remember that “there’s nothing to it, but to do it.” He looked forward to Jehovah's Promises of reuniting with his family in a beautiful Paradise ,a time when pain nor death be any more here on earth, Daniel 12:2 and many of those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up……Rev,21:3,4….death will be no more……the former things have passed away. He is survived by his Mother Maria Campos. He was preceded in death by his father Manuel S. Cardenas. Brothers: Manuel Cardenas Jr. and his wife Velma Cardenas, Teodoro Arteaga and his wife Dolores Arteaga and his beloved brother Gabriel Arteaga. His 2 sisters, Janie Jones and Janie Gomez husband Jaime Gomez. And many nieces and nephews all whom he adored very much. David was known for his generous heart, very caring, loving, humble and Appreciative person. He brought light and laughter to everyone who knew him. David cared very deeply for his 2 best friends Pepper and Lay his loved Dogs. He will forever be in our hearts. We will treasure all beautiful memories we have of him. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at The Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, 725 W. Cantu Rd., Del Rio, Texas at 5:00pm.
